Queer Music Festival / 23. bis 26. April 2026
Selbstbewusst und unübersehbar rückt das ›Queer Music Festival‹ queere Stimmen, Perspektiven und vor allem Musik in den Fokus. Vier Tage lang – vom 23. bis 26. April 2026 – wird Leipzig zu einer pulsierenden Bühne für Konzerte, Filme, Artist Talks, Workshops und Clubnächte.
Pop trifft auf Rap, elektronische Sounds auf Indie, intime Solomomente auf kollektive Clubnächte – das Programm spannt einen Bogen von leisen, persönlichen Geschichten bis zu raumfüllender Euphorie. Im Zentrum stehen dabei stets Musiker*innen, die sich als schwul, lesbisch, bisexuell, trans oder non-binär identifizieren – und deren künstlerische Positionen noch immer zu oft übersehen werden.
Das ›Queer Music Festival‹ findet zum dritten Mal in verschiedenen Leipziger Locations statt, darunter das UT Connewitz, die Moritzbastei, die Heilandskirche und die Distillery – jede mit eigener Atmosphäre, alle Teil desselben Moments.
Als Veranstalter, Herz und Motor des Festivals schafft Zacker eine Plattform, auf der queere Kunst selbstverständlich gelebt und gefeiert wird. Gerade in einer Zeit, in der gesellschaftliche Akzeptanz brüchiger wird und queere Identität zunehmend unter Druck steht, versteht er das Festival als sicheren Hafen für die LGBTQ*-Community: Ein klares Statement, ein Ort des Empowerments und ein Impuls für gesellschaftlichen Dialog, der Brücken baut.
Sichtbarkeit ist kein Luxus, sondern Notwendigkeit. Das ›Queer Music Festival‹ setzt hier ein kraftvolles Zeichen: Wir sind da, wir bleiben, wir sind laut!

Queer Music Festival / 23rd – 26th April 2026
Bold, confident, and impossible to miss, the Queer Music Festival puts queer voices, perspectives, and—above all—music front and center. For three days, from April 23 to 26, 2026, Leipzig turns into a buzzing stage for concerts, films, artist talks, workshops, and club nights.
Pop meets rap, electronic sounds collide with indie, intimate solo moments flow into collective club experiences—the program moves from quiet, personal stories to room-filling euphoria. At its core are musicians who identify as gay, lesbian, bisexual, trans, or non-binary, and whose artistic voices are still too often overlooked.
The Queer Music Festival takes place for the third time across several venues in Leipzig, including UT Connewitz, Moritzbastei, Heilandskirche, and Neue Welle – each with its own atmosphere, all part of the same shared moment.
As the organizer, heart, and driving force behind the festival, Zacker creates a space where queer art is lived and celebrated as a matter of course. Especially at a time when social acceptance feels increasingly fragile and queer identities are under growing pressure, the festival is meant as a safe space for the LGBTQ* community: a clear statement, a place of empowerment, and a spark for dialogue that builds bridges.
Visibility is not a luxury—it’s a necessity. The Queer Music Festival sends a powerful message: we’re here, we’re staying, and we’re loud.
